Your AI, your account
Choose the provider and model. QuizAI connects with an API key from your institution's own account: you create it in the provider's console (with your email or Google account), paste it once, and each provider bills its usage directly — nothing goes through ABAKU.
As a reference, a 20-question quiz costs around 10 to 20 US cents with a mid-range model.
Nobody finds out from a teacher that the AI stopped
A contact email is mandatory — without it QuizAI does not generate. One email per incident, and another when it is fixed:

Frequently asked questions
Can I use my ChatGPT Plus or Claude Pro subscription?
No, and it is not our decision: the providers do not allow personal subscriptions (ChatGPT Plus, Claude Pro, Gemini, Grok, Kimi) to be used inside third-party products. What works — and is allowed — is an API key from the same provider: you sign in to its console with your email or Google account, create the key and pay only for what you use.
What happens when the balance runs out?
Generation pauses, teachers see a clear notice and the contact email gets the alert. When you top up, QuizAI notices by itself and sends the all-clear.
Can I limit how much each teacher spends?
Yes: a default monthly limit, individual limits (or blocking) per teacher and a budget for the whole institution. Warnings arrive at 80 % and 100 %.
Does anything go to ABAKU?
No. Your Moodle talks directly to the provider you configured. The topic and instructions typed by the teacher are sent; no student or teacher identifiers are.
